WHO DOES MILIBEC SERVE?
Milibec distributes specialty products and meats to food businesses, in particular, butchers, public markets, natural and organic food stores, restaurants, supermarkets, caterers, institutions and more.
ARE THERE FUEL SURCHARGES ON DELIVERIES?
Yes! We had to introduce fuel surcharges in fall 2022, in light of the sudden considerable increase in diesel prices. Fuel surcharges apply to each delivery. Please contact us to learn more.
WHERE DOES MILIBEC DELIVER?
We mostly cover the Greater Montreal Area, the Laurentians, as well as the Lanaudière, Estrie and Quebec City regions. However, we also deliver to other areas of the province, including the Outaouais region, and Ontario too. Feel free to reach out to us for further details.
HOW DO DELIVERIES WORK?
Delivery times depend on the day orders are placed with the appropriate suppliers. They are generally very short, but may vary between 2 and 7 days on average. Once we place your order, our logistics team begins scheduling the weekly routes based on your requirements and when your shipment is expected to arrive, always aiming to tend the territory we serve in the most optimal way.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
Payment is due within 14 days if you open an account with us. Otherwise, the full amount is payable upon delivery. Please contact us for more information.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS FRESH OR FROZEN?
We distribute virtually all of our products fresh, in bulk, vacuum packed or shelf ready, depending on your preferences. Very few products are delivered frozen.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF YOUR PRODUCTS?
We only deal with certified suppliers who meet the industry’s highest standards. Based on product type – in bulk or vacuum packed – the shelf life will vary between 10 and 30 days. Some products even have a shelf life of over 120 days. More information is available on our product sheets.
WHAT CRITERIA ARE PRODUCERS REQUIRED TO MEET?
In order to promote the local economy and support local producers, we do business with homegrown producers who are certified and compliant with the highest industry standards. We do so because they offer products that are of superior grade, provide outstanding service, maintain a continuous supply, all the while practicing responsible animal care.
