Since 2017, Bœuf Québec has been championing top quality beef born and raised in Quebec. It is the brainchild of a collective of producers, processors and distributors that have banded together to offer consumers homegrown Quebec beef. The Boeuf Québec program spans 80+ family-run Quebec farms, all members of the Société des parcs d’engraissement du Québec, committed to supplying exceptional tasting, world class quality meat.
Under the program, animals are raised on a healthy diet of locally grown corn and grains – which explains the rich flavour and high marbling – worthy of the best practices used in the Corn Belt.
Bœuf Québec’s Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+) certified cattle meet the highest standards for wholesome food and animal care. VBP+ certification diligently advocates animal care, biosecurity, environmental stewardship and food safety practices.
In addition, thanks to Agri-Traçabilité Québec (ATQ), a traceability program designed to provide Quebec consumers with the ultimate in food safety assurance, the movement of Bœuf Québec beef is tracked from its farm of origin along the supply chain, further enhancing the added value of Bœuf Québec products.
