In the summer of 1999, Mike and Cynthia realized that to continue their success, they would need a farm closer to a large urban area. Once this decision was made, the family was fortunate to secure 800 acres of prime farmland in King City. The couple’s intuition about proximity to an urban area was right, and by 2006, Beretta was making regular deliveries to major retail banners as well as a growing number of health food stores and independent grocers.
Over the next decade, the popularity of organically raised animals with no added antibiotics, hormones or steroids gave Beretta the opportunity to expand its product range and its list of restaurant and retail partners. With this growing popularity, King City Farm could no longer keep up with market demand. So Mike and Cynthia decided to reach out to ranching families across the country. Today, our family includes more than 40 ranches we know and trust, mostly in Western Canada. These ranches strive to raise Beretta animals using the same practices and values as King City’s original location, and our products can be found on menus and shelves in stores across the country.
